I had mixed feelings about church this morning.
All I can say is that it reminded me, as a preacher myself, that I should treat pulpit with the highest respect and honour.
It reminded me that pulpit is about preaching the Word, expounding the text, and allowing the Scripture to speak to our hearts.
If, as a preacher, I deviate from this, then it is tantamount to abusing the sacred task entrusted to me in the proclamation of the Word.
