Another MTh Graduate

This morning, I had the privilege of chairing Sivin Kit's oral defence for his Master of Theology thesis on "A Trinitarian Public Theology: Malaysian Churches and Civil Society." Both the examiners, the Rt Rev Dr Solomon Rajah, Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Malaysia, and Joseph Komar passed Sivin's thesis with minor corrections.

Congratulations, Sivin. We are very proud of you. We wish you all the best for your application for your doctoral studies.

Terima Kasih Odysseus. Janganlah envy. Join us in our suffering.

Odysseus,
Like what Sivin says, join in the path of suffering after you have completed your MDiv, and then do your MTh in English!

Hi Paul,
That day will be soon...sooon... :-)

Sivin,
we are proud of you - more so that you put your thesis together in such a short time! I won't be able to do that!!

All the best for your scholarship application. We pray for our Lord's favour upon you.

Congratulations Sivin!

I am putting a hold on this side of suffering. But still suffering on other areas though :)

Rev Kar Yong:

Maybe I choose English Dmin, so as to escape from via dolorosa?

Pearlie, it's holy week so timely to move from 'triumphalism' to the cross ... of course, with the hope of resurrection. But we can't hurry through good friday and holy saturday.

Kar Yong, some denial of potato chips helped. But occasional dosages gave some extra impetus. Now looking back, I think I'm nuts! But I'm glad I survived in one piece. Better go mystical a bit, NUTS can mean Never Underestimate the Spirit.

Hi Pearlie,

We are still waiting for you! I thought you are almost done already, right.

Odysseus,

D Min is not any easier either. The path of suffering is never an option for a believer :-)

I think its Bonhoeffer who says teh badge of a Christian is a badge of suffering.....
