My Ordination as a Minister of the Gospel
I was ordained by the Evangelical Free Church of Malaysia yesterday as a minister of the Gospel - and Alex, who was there to witness and celebrate my ordination, has already posted the photos in his blog.
I would to thank all of you who celebrated and rejoiced with me in my ordination yesterday. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes and gifts. I greatly appreciate it.

Hi KY,
Congratulation! I would love to be there but couldn't leave here.
Although u are ordained, hope you won't mind that I still call you 'Kar Yong'. Will only add 'Rev.' an d'Dr.' in official settings :D
Yes, waiting for more photos to link up.
Hi Sze Zeng,
Thanks for wishes. Wish you were here.
Please dont change the way you call/address me. I am still the same old "Kar Yong"!
Thanks, Perng Shyang
wow,,,happy to have one ordained scholar in malaysia,,
God bless EFC
Dear Kar Yong, you were in my thoughts the whole weekend. I thought of flying to PJ to witness your ordination but I had to attend to a speaking engagement at church. God bless you in your ministry for His sake and grant the desire of your heart to serve Him as His prophetic messenger to the nations.
不肖生 Sceptics,
Thank you for your wishes.
Dear Tony,
Thank you so much for your wishes and thoughts. This is greatly appreciated.
KY
I know I was not there but ... I think the ordination would have been more exciting if you were ordained in a cut off jeans jacket with tattos showing (oh, I forgot that was not the real you! LOL)
Did Rev. Loh make you kneel an extra long time as punishment for not joining MBS? LOL
Sorry, feeling a bit silly today. Congratulations!
Hi Paul,
Thanks for your wishes.
I think Rev Loh did make me kneel longer than usual. Normally, the kneeling is done during the laying of hands, but I had to kneel even when the charge was read out to me. And there were 6 charges....so I knelt EXTRA long.....
Bernice and I wish we could have been there but we were "working."
Your ordination just feels so right and is a powerful reminder to all that a passionate heart can and should be linked to a passionate mind!!!
Hi Soo Inn,
Thanks so much for wishes.
Hey, just realised that we're in the same denomination. Were you part of the Malaysian delegates at the recent All-Asia EFC conference @ Cebu? If you were, then we definitely missed each other! Small world. :) I've been serving as youth pastor for about a year at Woodlands EFC, Singapore. Look forward to future interactions.
Hi Timothy,
Nice to hear from you.
I was not part of the Malaysian delegation to the Philippines.
