A Little Walk Around Cambridge
Sometime last week, we had a very lovely and sunny day in Cambridge. So I decided to take some time off work and took a stroll around the city with a friend. Here are some photos taken around some of the colleges with my Sony Ericsson K530i mobile.
FUN? I really wish it could be. Right now, I am staring out my window, and it's such a nice day out there and we have a very mild temperature for December winter today - I wish I could be out having FUN! :-)
Von Rad, Actually, I have not published much compared to my peers in the academia. Looking at some of those recent PhD holders, I wonder where they find time to write and publish?
won't need to come to cambridge. my supervisor still has his house here in oxford. so he came back last weekend and i passed thesis to him. we'll be meeting this sat here in coms itself. bon voyage.
nay. they have changed the rules a bit. now they say it takes the pre-submission committee 4 months to read my thesis! anyway, i will target april next year for pre-viva and sept for viva (if all goes well).
wow, nice pictures. That reminds me of my last visit a few years ago. I had also visited Cambridge University Press then. Hope to go back for holiday in this beautiful town. Enjoy your stay.
Wish for the best for you, Reb. I somehow feel a bit sad now that I am back in KL - I am glad to be home but I am missing Tyndale House at the same time.

i envy you!
That can't be Cambridge, I don't see any pictures of people on bicycles, cutting in and out of traffic. Nice pics, BTW.
ky can consider do post doc in cambridge or oxford,,,
Hi Israel,
No need to envy. I think I work harder here in Cambridge than in STM :-)
Hi Brian,
The reason you can't see the bicycles is that all the photos (or pictures, in American) are college grounds - hence no "traffic".
Von Rod,
It all depends where I "laku" or not, and chances are that I am not.
that is why i am envious. working in a beautiful environment on things you really like is NOT work! it is called FUN! ;-)

with your prolific publication, soon you become more than "laku"...keep it up!
I envy your achievement...

Hi Anthony,
Good to hear this! Congrats in completing thesis. So are you still on target to submit before you leave for home sometime next week?

Hi Anthony,
Change rules again? Sorry to hear this - and this means you have to prologed your PhD....
Let's hope it won't go into the next academic year, else you end up paying another year's of fees!
Hi Chris,
