How to Do Exegesis on this Map?

I teach Exegetical Method, but I must admit that I am confused at this little site map found in the seminary's canteen. I think I fail in my exegesis in trying to understand how all the switches work, and I can never get them right whenever I try to turn on the fan!

haha...there is one person in STM can figure it.. Probably you can give him an A+ for this exegesis...:D Find Samuel Chong...

So, that's how STM keep their faculty actively engage in exegetical exercises!

:D

Yes. It does look more complex than sentence diagramming.

LOL! Good one SP! Right timing too KY! As bad as trying to figure out Sentence Diagramming for our Greek finals tomorrow! Very mind boggling!

Hi Isaac,
You mean you can't figure it out too? Then I am not alone :-)

Hi Sze Zeng,
I must say this map is a marked improvement from the previous one - which compleltely makes no sense, at least for me.

Hi SP,
Looks like some kind of combination between sentence diagramming and discourse analysis....

Chils,
All the best for your Greek finals!

Haha, I never followed this map, I just try an error!

So Perng Shyang, any luck in your try and error method?

in everything there is a deep structure...

so resort to structuralist approach..

Hahahha. I'm like Perng Shyang.. I think it's faster than following the 'map'.

Ruth, how can you jump tpo "practical application" without doing your exegesis first?

Haha....so I'm not the only one who could not exegete it. One day, I took time to study it...but still I failed. Hmmm.....surely it can be improved, so that lay people like us can understand it, rather than 'trial and error'.
