This coming week will be another super busy one for me. I will be teaching the Doctor of Ministry module on Advanced Hermeneutics and Homiletics throughout the next 5 days, from 8am - 6pm.
This module is a historic one for the seminary, as this is the first ever DMin module that we are offering. I hope the candidates that will be here later this morning will find the course useful for their ministry.
I will be so dead by the end of this week.....

Don't worry, Easter is coming soon!
Die then, that you might LIVE! hahaha...
Philippians 1
21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know!
23 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far;
24 but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.
25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith,
26 so that through my being with you again your joy in Christ Jesus will overflow on account of me.
My "eisegesis" of this passage tells me you will live and not die ... but I am unsure whether your bring alive to runt his course will result in the "joy of Christ overflowing" in the lives of some people on account of you. :-)
But seriously ... wow! This is indeed a historic event in Malaysian theological education!
oops excuse the typos ... scribal error :-)
It should read ..."your being alive to run this course" ...
wow, bravo sir!
you are the youngest, budding NT scholar I met....
tell you a secret..."you are my role model..."
Hi Perng Shyang,
Yeah - I look forward to Easter!
Hi Yourshoeah...
Can I live without dying?
Hi Paul,
Thanks for the encouraging note....
But you are right - I am very unsure about "that through my being with you again your joy in Christ Jesus will overflow on account of me"....
Hi 不肖生 Sceptics,
I dont think I am the youngest you met lar. There are many more that are younger than me who have done much much more than me!
But thanks for your note - I am not sure how I could be a role model....
I heard along the grapevines that you are utterly absolutely extremely exceedingly super duper busy. Just didn't realise you are actually dead busy ;)
And here's another live die passage:
Romans 14:7-8 7 For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself; 8 for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.
So let us live and die for God!!!!!!!!
Wow.. long hours, heavy subjects, and tight schedule. God bless and preserve u, KY.
hi Sir,
you are only 40, yet already got your Phd in NT, published book with T T Clark...this is remarkable...
I have not started yet my Mdiv...sad.....
Hi Pearlie,
Thanks for the encouragement! It's been DEAD busy - I now look forward to May.....
Thanks, Sze Zeng. Hope you have fully recovered.
不肖生 Sceptics,
There is a time for everything... some started early, some late. For me, I started quite late too. Some of my friends who are in the mid-30s already have a string of publications.
So it's never too late to start your MDiv :-)
