Eerdmans Sale is On
The seminary BookServices is now taking orders for books published by Eerdmans at a special discounted price for STM students only. This is an excellent once-a-year opportunity to build up one's library at affordable prices. There are some pretty good books that have just been released or due to be released soon. Don't miss it!

Oh dear ... was my first response LOL
Haha...well, she who hesitates might miss out the best deals in town...
I think the closing date is Feb 10 or 11...So quick quick....
I remember the excit4ment I felt at my first MBS organized Eerdmans sale.
I also remember how I was broke for months after that :-) and how I kicked myself for wasting precious money buying books that were not right for me. :-( Arrghhh!! *stupid! stupid! stupid!*
Paul,
Don't chide yourself so. While you may think that the books are not right for you, in time they will find you :)
I read this article back in 2003 and I still remember it. I have recently located it and saved the artilce -- here, for you if it helps.
KY,
I might give it a miss this time -- I have only picked out 4 books but not sure if I wanted them anyway. Because I am quite broke.
So the deadline is today?
Pearlie
Thanks for the link. Interesting article. Quite encouraging though I do wonder if I am truly a book lover - nowadays I would rather pick up a comic book if I have to choose :-)
Paul,
You are welcome and I get what you mean :) sometimes I just want to be a potato couch and watch TV, and end up regretting it usually.
Hi sir, surprise to find that , your blog got no political talk at all??>>>
haha.
I thot, theologian must talk politics, to justify that he is biblical enough?
because Jesus, Paul, used political words, and OT prophets highly political motivated contentions....
" above said by some theologians", not me..haha!
Hi Paul and Pearlie,
Well, I still read books that I bought 5-6 years ago - and it's been a great help in preparing for my classes! So you never know when a book will come in useful.
Hi Davinci,
I discuss some political issues - but not as frequently as The Reb.
Please see my posts on the Political Jesus and others here:

My SBL International Paper this year will also be a political reading, if I do get to go for the meeting.
