Research Assistant in New Testament Studies Ref: A299 £21,682 – £25,889
3-year fixed term contract
The Department of Humanities is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to Professor Andrew Lincoln, Portland Professor of New Testament. The post offers the opportunity for pursuing a three-year postdoctoral project in New Testament Studies. Professor Lincoln’s own work explores literary, historical and theological approaches to the New Testament and he is particularly interested in the theological interpretation of Scripture.
Applicants should have plans for a research project compatible with these interests, preferably in the area of the use of the Bible in Applied Theology and, in particular, Christian Spirituality.
Applicants should have a PhD (or one nearing completion) in New Testament Studies or a related discipline and experience of contributing to the organisation of seminars and/or conferences.
