Another Proud M Theol Graduate of STM
Last Saturday, one of my postgraduate students, Geok Hock, had his viva voce. I was very pleased to know that both the external and internal examiners passed him without corrections. Geok Hock's thesis is on "A Proposal for the Structure of Luke's Travel Narrative".
Geok Hock will be joining Malaysia Bible Seminari's English Department as Lecturer in New Testament, beginning this November. We wish him all the best as he begins his service at our sister institution. He will be a great asset there.

Tan Geok Hock worships in FGA, KL. Do you know him?
tks sir,, I dont know him..
thank God, FGA has such theologian ppl,,,this could elevate/transform its anti intellectual past...
praise God,,,He is wonderful,,,
Maybe one day,he would teach in FGA's royal priesthood bible college...
At the moment, GH is presently teaching part-time at RPBC, but moving on to MBS full-time. It's great MBS managed to get him. He would be a great help to MBS
A number of FGA pastors graduated from MBS.
STM grad going to lecture at MBS ... interesting.
I took a few courses with Geok Hock at MBS. Good "catch" for MBS. When I met him, he was studying at MBS as well as STM (driving to Seremban to do his Greek). Now that is commitment!!
Hi Paul,
Yeah - GH is a very bright student. Good for MBS to have him.
But why did you say it is interesting?
Oh, interesting in terms of STM grad becoming an MBS lecturer
Now that wasn't very helpful in terms of clarity.
Interesting that STM is helping to produce lecturers for other local seminaries. I hope that is better ...
Hi Paul,
Yes - we have been involved in faculty development for local seminaries and those in the region. Another student of mine who will be having his viva next week is a lecturer in one of the theological institutions in Myanmar. Another faculty member from the SIB Bible College in Sabah will be enrolling in STM next year for her M Theol.
