Happy New Year - Year of the Ox
Here's wishing all friends and readers of my blog a Happy Chinese New Year. The seminary shuts down for 3 days to enable students and staff to travel back to their respective hometowns to celebrate the New Year.
As for me, I will celebrate the New Year with family and friends in KL.
May the year of the Ox be an oxspicious year for all.
And may we be oxbedient to the Lord as well!

Hi Florence,
Nope - I dont collect gold coins :-)
So how did you celebrate CNY in the States?
well, nobody celebrates CNY in this (almost) all white campus.
in the past, i baked & gave out cookies to friends to announce that i DO celebrate my lunar new year.
last year, i held a CNY gathering at a white professor's home. my guests were international students & missionaries.
this year, i went out of town to celebrate an authentic CNY at a Chinese-speaking church.
in short, i still get to celebrate CNY! haha.
