Back from Vacation....Back to Work

It was with a little sadness that I boarded the flight from Sandakan back to KL. That marked the end of a great vacation with friends and students (I will post some photos later). And now, it is back to the seminary, and a faculty meeting is due to start soon.

In the next couple of days, more than 30 new students will be arriving at the seminary, beginning their journey of being equipped for Christian vocation. This will be followed by the orientation, and the annual retreat. It will be a busy semeser ahead for me.

Hi Kar Yong,

Hope you have recovered and are well. Heard from Pastor Wong that you have high bp and was ordered to rest by the doc. As a result you gave Pastor Wong a heart attack for canceling your preaching engagement at CDPC on Sat morning.

Take things easy bro. God bless.

Hi Paul,
Yeah...

Happy new year to you! Perhaps you can send some students to us also for some cross-cultural exposure!

Hi SP,

Thanks for wishes - I am well rested now. I think a bit too stressed out for the past week and compounded with insufficient sleep for past 2 weeks. Every Christmas and year end are always like that.

Hi Ky, just curious, how many got in English Dept?

Kar Yong said...

If I am not mistaken, the ratio is 17 new students in the Chinese Dept and 12 in the English.

Hi KY,

I think that's fair ratio, for the fact that;

Methodists congregation in Malaysia predominantly Chinese educated ;

And recent years, most youths, especially the theological-inclined youths are Chinese ed.

haha, just my observation! I am also chinese ed.
